The defeat to AFC Bournemouth remains fresh in memory as Manchester United Football Club get set to tackle Norwich City this Saturday. Despite sitting fourth on the log (six points behind surprise and high-flying league leaders, Leicester city), Manchester United have had a somewhat pathetic first half to the season and will be looking to get result against 18th-placed Norwich. The Red devils will be looking to bounce back with a strong and convincing response this weekend.
The target is clear and non-negotiable, but the path is ridden with obstacles chief of which is the current injuries rocking the Manchester outfit. Lingard and McNair joined captain Wayne Rooney, defenders Matteo Darmian, Smalling and Marcos Rojo, along with long-term absentees Luke Shaw and Antonio Valencia in the club’s treatment room. Jones, Schneiderlin and Ander Herrera are out of the same room, while Bastian Schweinsteiger
is out on suspension. United’s headache will certainly be at the full back where Cameron Northwick-Jackson and Guillermo Varela are expected to feature.
So, how will Manchester United line up against Norwich city on Saturday? Assuming a 4-3-3 formation, the set up should look like this: De Gea in goal (undisputed).
Cameron Northwick-Jackson and Guillermo Varela deployed to the left and right back positions respectively while Daley Blind and Phil Jones complete the defence line. Fit again Morgan Shcneiderlin joins Ander Herrera and Michael Carrick will pull the strings in midfield, while Juan Mata, Memphis Depay and Anthony Martial will lead the front line.
