Arsenal are reportedly in talks with German side Borussia Dortmund over the transfer of in-form Gabon striker Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, who has scored a whooping 24 goals in 23 games in all competitions.
According to The Sun, the North London club are in discussions with Dortmund via an intermediary over the player’s transfer with the Gabonese also keen to try his luck in the Premier League.
This was confirmed by a source as follows: “An intermediary has made contact with Dortmund about Pierre-Emerick making a move to Arsenal.”
“Wenger knows the fee is very high – yet this is a striker who can make a difference for him and help win the title for the first time in 12 years.
“But there is a lot of interest in him.” the source concluded.
The 26-year old striker has also attracted a lot of interests from other English clubs such as Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea prompting his club to slap a £42m valuation on his head.
