Agent Confirms Barcelona Hero Will Make Manchester United Move In January

Out of favour Manchester United shot-stopper Victor Valdes could be on his way to St James Park, reports the Express.

The former Barcelona goalkeeper has been finding life difficult at Old Trafford after they had an altercation over Van Gaals philosophy.

“Valdes was not selected [for the pre-season tour] because he doesn’t follow my philosophy. The philosophy is how you play football and how you maintain your match rhythm,” Van Gaal said.

Following his situation at the club, his agent has now confirmed that the player might be on his way to Newcastle in January.

Valdes has been training with the youth set up of Manchester United  and might move to Newcastle United. Newcastle United are without first choice goalkeeper Tim Krul who will be unavailable for this season because of an injury.

Krul damaged his cruciate ligament whilst representing Netherland and Valdes has been planned as a make-shift choice in the short-term.

Several clubs in Europe are also keen on the signature of the goalkeeper but he has ruled out a return to La Liga with Steve McClaren hoping to land him.

It is understood that United will be happy to part ways with the 33-year-old Spaniard.
