Time was when the United fans had the bragging right of at least a trophy in season and they converge at the theatre of dreams to fervently sing with pride “Glory, Glory Man United”. Sadly, since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson, trophies have continuously eluded the Red Devils.
If they must push for the title and keep their Premier League hope alive, manager Louis Van Gaal must look to the January transfer market to sign a player.
However, reports have emerged that the Dutch tactician is setting his sight of Arsenal summer target Edinson Cavani of Paris Saint Germain. The player has reported arrived Old Trafford and is expected to complete a three-year deal with United.
Since join PSG from Napoli, Cavani has been reportedly unhappy over his role in the team. His preferred position is at the centre forward but Laurent Blanc has favoured Ibrahimovic in that position over the aforementioned Uruguayan. United will now help him realise the dream of playing as a centre forward.
United have enjoyed the best defensive record in the League but their attack has been completely ironical. Nonetheless, the reports are yet sketchy but it is widely reported that a £65 million has been agreed and Cavani will complete the deal in January.
Should the deal be sealed in January, Cavani will play as the centre forward for United while Martial will be moved to the flank permanently.
