Adrien Rabiot is seeking a loan move away from the Paris club to get regular playing time. He hopes to gatecrash the French team to the Euros which will be taking place in the summer in his homeland. This is not the first time the highly rated midfielder will be pushing to leave the club, he and his mother, Veronique Rabiot who acts as his manager, forced PSG’s hand and got a loan move to Toulouse in January 2013. That was Rabiot’s first season after he signed his first professional contract and he and his mother were accused of impatience and was advised to wait for his time before he becomes a regular in the star studded team.
The 20-year-old has struggled for playing time this season. With a first choice midfield trio made up of compatriot, Blaise Matuidi and Italian internationals, Marco Verrati and Thiago Motta. The player has made only 9 league starts and a further 4 appearances from the substitutes bench this season.
The defensive midfielder will have no shortage of suitors and Arsenal are known to have an interest in the boy who has represented France at every youth level. While the player is looking for a temporary move away from PSG to gain 1st team football, the gunners will be looking to engineer a permanent deal worth about £15 million.
According to the Guardian one week ago, PSG have given Arsenal some encouragement that a bid of £20 million will be accepted. However, knowing Wenger, it is very unlikely he will be willing to spend as much as £20 million on a rookie like Rabiot.
Should Arsenal manage to get a deal done for Rabiot. It will be a big blow to both Bayern Munich and AC Milan who have both been linked to his signature.
