According to the mirror Barcelona are ready to sell highly rated German short stopper Marc-Andre ter Stegen and have made it clear to the reds that a bid of £20 million will be accepted for the high rated goalkeeper.
Ter Stegen has been a target of Liverpool for weeks, Liverpool were initially hoping they can lure the short stopper top Anfield for 12 million pounds, but with the report stating Barca are willing to sell the goalkeeper for 20 million pounds, Liverpool have to meet the 20 million pound fee if they want his (Ter Stegen’s) services.
The Mirrors claims the Catalan club are willing to promote their 3rd choice goalkeeper Jordi Masip, they (Barca) believe he is ready to become the clubs number 2. The report further state that Liverpool are expecting Ter Stegen to make clear his desire to leave Camp Nou.
The mirror also claims that the 23 year old German shot stopper will demand reassurances from Liverpool as he wants to be given a fair opportunity to become the clubs number 1 goalkeeper.
Ter Stegen has made just 4 La Liga appearances this season, but didn’t feature in the domestic league at all last season as the club continued with Claudio Bravo in the league as their first choice. However Ter Stegen featured in all of Barca’s Cup competitions last season and this season. Since he joined the Barcelona in 2014 Ter Stegen has played in all of the clubs European and domestic cup outing to date.
