Falcao, 29, who is on a season-long loan from French Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco, made his last outing for the Blues in the 3-1 defeat to Liverpool on the 31st of October.
Speaking on the setback suffered by the former FC Porto and Atlético Madrid striker, Chelsea’s interim manager Guus Hiddink said: “We had him in a game and he had this injury again that he had before. It’s the inside of his thigh.”
“Yes, I think it’s back to square one. He’s in treatment at the moment. He cannot appear on the pitch.
“He was out and our medical staff tried to build him up, and he had a setback which is not always a positive signal. We hope within 10 days he might be fit again, though not to play.” The Dutchman concluded.
The Colombian has so far struggled with life in the Premier League and has only scored once in 9 league appearances in addition to a disastrous loan spell at Manchester United last season. There are already rumours that Falcao could be out for the rest of the season.
