Not Marko Grujic – Liverpool Completes Yet Another Winter Signing

After seemingly completing the deal for Red Star Belgarde star, Marko Grujic, the Reds have made their move quickly to sign 17-year old goalkeeper, Kamil Grabara from Polish club, Ruch Chorzow.

The young goal tender is unheard of but is said to have huge potential and has been dubbed the ‘new Jerzy Dudek’. The Kop will be hoping this comparison is not farfetched and will be hoping Grabara emulates his country man by helping Liverpool to another European Title. Jerzy Dudek is an Anfield legend and is famous for saving Andriy Shevchenko’s spot kick that saw Liverpool lift their 5th Champions League trophy on that amazing night in Istanbul.

The player is not expected to join the first team straight away but will be allowed to cut his teeth with the Liverpool academy before progressing to first team duties.

No fee has been disclosed and it won’t be surprising if the Ekstraklasa club receive a record fee. Speaking on the potential move, club President, Dariusz Smagoroicz recently stated: ‘Grabara has been with us 12 years. A few months ago we signed a contract with him to keep him until 2018, and now Liverpool want to have him.’

Liverpool fans should be happy with their latest acquisition as it is rumoured that they beat Manchester United and Manchester City to signing the young Goalie.
