Arsenal have had an incredible season so far especially in the English Premier League and this finds them joint leaders with Manchester City despite the many injuries that the team has suffered this season and despite the fact that the club manager Arsene Wenger did not sign any outfield player apart from former Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech who has been in fantastic form for the Gunners.
The Gunners however still obviously need new players in the team as soon as possible or fans will not take it easy with the manager if the Gunners lose out again from winning the much awaited English Premier League title especially in a season where it is looking quite doable.
The team has suffered lots of injuries in the midfield and the defence and the team has seen the need for a fantastic playmaker who can also score goals alongside Ozil and Sanchez, especially with the team having 130 chances created so far this season in the league while they have converted only a minute number from that to goals.
Fans have been crying for the manager to sign Marco Reus and these are some reasons why this is quite possible:
The German playmaker has stated in the past that he has great respect for Arsenal midfielder Rosicky and he sees him as his mentor and would not playing with him and learning a few things from him. Also, Arsenal have Ozil and and Mertesacker who are Reus’ countrymen and who can easily convince him to join the Emirates’ boys plus the Gunners manager Arsene Wenger speaks fluent German and this could be enough to convince the player especially if the manager decides to call the player for a chat as usual.
Arsenal also presently have the capability to sign anyone at the moment, with the club’s new found wealth which means that the club can afford anyone at the moment as it has been seen with the new deal reached with star winger Alexis Sanchez who now earns £150,000 per week in Arsenal.
Arsenal have also been long reported to be interested in the midfielder as he was said to have been taken round the Emirates stadium before he got injured two summers ago which means the player himself is interested in Arsenal.
It remains to be seen if Wenger will take a cue from all these and ensure the player ends up in Arsenal.
