Report have emerged according to Le Phoceen that Liverpool are in advanced talks with Marseille over a deal for their experienced goalkeeper Steve Mandanda.
The 30-year-old has been with the Ligue side since the March of 2008. He is now in the final year of his contract and contract extension talks have stalled between him and the Stade Velodrome side.
The report according to the French media outfit claims Liverpool have taken advantage of the Goalkeeper and Klopp is keen on completing the deal for the player in January.
Opinion over the quality Mignolet are divided as the goalkeeper has been inconsistent this term. However, he has kept the most clean sheet in the Premier League this term.
Since joining Marseille, Mendanda has been their first choice and has been consistent for them since then.
Meanwhile, Klopp has been mandated to end the season in at least fourth position but he cannot achieve that without an assured goalkeeper.
Liverpool are the second team to have thumped Leicester City in the League this season and they will play against Sunderland in their next game.
