Amidst all the transfer news and rumours and clubs making signings in the presently open transfer window, Liverpool have not had much activity recorded for them.
However, this seems to have changed as recent reports state that Liverpool have recently completed the signing of a fantastic and versatile midfielder to add to the ranks at Anfield and this is a midfielder that also knows how to score goals.
Scotland international, Caroline Weir has been signed from Bristol Academy by the Liverpool Ladies.
Weir has been signed to help the Reds female team ahead of this year’s , FA Women’s Super League campaign and she might just be the key to ensuring that the Reds win trophies this season.
Weir was formerly in the Hibernian Ladies youth system from the age of ten and in 2011, she won the SWFL First Division player of the year award for her performances.
After the official announcement Weir said in the press conference that, “Liverpool Ladies are a really ambitious club and I am confident that we can win more trophies over the next few seasons. It is a great move for me. There are so many talented players here and I am really looking forward to playing alongside them in order to develop my game.”
Maybe this could be enough to prompt the Men’s team manager Jurgen Klopp to make some signings before the transfer window closes this January.
