Liverpool will now be looking to return to winning ways when they visit league leaders Manchester City at the Etihad after the international break. The Citizens are known to be stronger when they play aat home, hence, the Reds will have to be at their full strength if they want to clinch maximum points against Manuel Pellegrini’s side on November 21st.
And on the injury front for Liverpool, they are at a huge disadvantage with 10 players sidelined. Nevertheless, three key stars are expected to be fit and ready to start for Liverpool against the deadly Man City side, as per the PhysioRoom.
Striker Daniel Sturridge – who has not featured for Liverpool since the appointment of Klopp as boss – is expected to be ready for the game, while Jordan Ibe, who picked up a knock in the defeat to the Eagles on Sunday, should also be fit.
Captain Jordan Henderson who is recovering from a foot injury is to be ready for the game too – having not played under Klopp after being sidelined for around two months ago.
Youngster Jordan Rossiter and veteran defender Kolo Toure are also expected to be fit, but the duo have not really be heavily involved for Klopp’s side this term.
The German boss inherited an injury-plagued side from predecessor Brendan Rodgers, with the likes of Danny Ings and Joe Gomez out for the season and influential defender Mamadou Sakho also sustaining an injury during the 2-1 defeat to Palace on Sunday.
The French defender landed awkwardly after contesting for an aerial ball with Palace’s Yannick Bolasie. Sakho is now set to be out of action for a minimum of eight weeks.
