The Liverpool captain sustained a hamstring injury during the Kop’s UEFA Europa League match against Rubin Kazan and joined the worrying list of injured Liverpool players.
Since then the England international has been out of action. Since the appointment of Klopp, Milner had been a regular and his absence was felt when Crystal Palace thumped them at Anfield last weekend. However, He could be in action against former club.
Talking about the clash against Manchester City, Milner said:
“Its always disappointing to miss any games – and obviously missing last weekend and the England game is disappointing.
“It shouldn’t be too long and hopefully, i’ll be back for the next game, but we’ll have to wait and see.
“you never like to put a time frame on it because it’s a hamstring and they are always difficult and a bit unpredictable, but hopefully i’ll be alright.
“It’s disappointing but these things happen and hopefully i’ll be back soon.”
Despite being staunchly criticized by the fans of Liverpool, Milner has being the most creative player for the Kop. He has created 27 chances this season more than every one else.
Liverpool sit in 10th position on the Premier League log and they will be looking to best Manchester City when they visit next weekend.
