Borussia Dortmund Striker Aubameyang is widely regarded as the hottest striker in European football at the moment after netting 24 goals in 23 competitive games this season prompting interests from other European giants such as Arsenal and Liverpool in the 26-year old Gabonese striker.
Last week German sources revealed Arsenal were in talks with Borussia Dortmund over Aubameyang via an intermediary. “An intermediary has made contact with Dortmund about Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang making a move to Arsenal. Wenger knows the fee is very high – yet this is a striker who can make a massive difference for him and help win the title for the first time in 12 years.” German sources claimed.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp however wants to use his working relationship with the African star to his advantage, having worked with him at Dortmund, in a bid to edge out Arsenal in the race to sign the former Saint Etienne forward, who is majorly known for his speed after breezing through 30 metres in just 3.7 seconds.
Though Borussia Dortmund have insisted they are in no position to sell the £42m-rated star, an Arsenal move is more likely to appeal to him over Liverpool because of the lure to play UEFA Champions League football next season.
