According to the Daily Express, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is not only keen on adding new players to the club but also would love to have new backroom staff and he was reported to have made contact with new Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner who has refused to confirm the news that Jurgen Klopp offered him a role in Liverpool’s coaching staff, but has claimed a move to Anfield “was not the plan” for him, according to reports from the Daily Express.
David Wagner had previously worked with Jurgen Klopp as a coach at Borussia Dortmund and was the best-man at the Liverpool manager’s wedding. He was the coach of Dortmund’s reserve team for four years between 2011 and 2015 before leaving few weeks ago amidst serious speculation that he would be moving to Anfield.
But the 44-year-old was instead appointed Huddersfield Town manager where he has been saddled with trying to change things at Huddersfield who currently find themselves in the 19th position on the Championship table.
The rumours may have been denied by Wagner but the truth is that he would not have moved to England if not to be closer to his friend too and maybe a move to Anfield is in the works, it remains to be seen.
