Gerrard Replacement? Club CEO Confirms £32m Offer Made For Liverpool Target

Liverpool’s new manager has seen the need for some reinforcements and may be looking at ‘exciting’ Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio.

When asked about Liverpool’s interest in the player Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta confirmed that the Reds submitted an offer:

32 million offer from England for Marchisio? We’ve received many offers, and not only from Liverpool; we have received several offers [from other clubs.”

However, the offer was not submitted during the new manager’s tenure but in Brendan Rodgers tenure and it is not sure yet whether this new manager will pursue it or not.

Klopp is crazy about me and wants me at Liverpool? I do not care, I just signed a contract with Juventus.”

His response is however expected as he like Steven Gerrard, is the archetypal one club man who came through the youth ranks at Juve, and has spent his entire senior career at the club.

Additionally, Juventus are in the Champions League every season, and the club has won four league titles in a row Liverpool hasn’t won the league in 26 years, and rarely qualifies for the Champions League?

Liverpool fans can only hope that the player will see the potentials of the club and decide to join them to see if he can make the necessary impact but this looks like a miracle which cannot materialize within the next few months or even years for the Reds unless the club status which is way low at the moment changes for the better under the new manager.
