Still the most expensive player in the history of football, Gareth Bale is high on the transfer wish list of Manchester United who appears to be overly desperate in their quest to land the speedy winger.
Bale, 26, move to Real Madrid from Tottenham in a world record breaking deal of £80 million and is yet the most expensive player. However, despite the expectation of him, the Welsh winger has failed to impress and is still in the shadows of Benzema and Ronaldo.
It is understood that United offered to sign him in 2013 before he opted a move to Santiago and now they willing to do everything to realise their dream to landing him.
Report according to AS stated Manchester United executive vice chairman Ed Woodward has offered £14.2 million to Jonathan Barnett who is the agent of Bale, all in a bid to broker the deal and talk the Welsh winger into signing for the Real Devils.
During the summer, United failed to secure the services of Pedro and they are still looking for players in his stead that can fill the void created by the departure of Di Maria.
Although, United signed Memphis Depay and Anthony Martial, they still lack depth in terms of wingers. Martial is naturally a centre forward.
Having played in the Premier League, it is believed that Bale will easily fit in and adapt to the rigour of the league.
Since joining Madrid, Bale has scored 41 goals in 100 games. For Madrid’s standard, he has failed and might be allowed to leave.
