Arsenal are once again keen to spend big by the next transfer window as they have done in recent ones. The Gunners splashed big on the acquisition of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil few seasons ago and have had a change in transfer policy and philosophy compared to what used to happen in the past. Although they spent only 10 million Pounds in the Summer transfer market, the Emirates outfit are ready to bring in big players by January and have marked out La Liga striking revelation of the season, Nolito as a target by Winter.
The Celta Vigo forward has a buyout clause of £19.3 million Pounds, and Arsenal are ready to activate it. The former Barcelona player has been a great contributor to the club’s steady top 4 position since the season started after having helped them with his 7 goals and 5 assists in 11 League appearances. His form saw him earn a callup to the Spain national team squad and is on course to lead the attack at France next Summer when the Euros hold. Barcelona have expressed interest in bringing the back the 29 year-old to the Camp Nou. But with the Spanish giants not financially buoyant like they used to due to the wages of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez, which is one of the highest in the world, Arsenal are now in prime position to land the forward.
The Wenger-led side are serious title contenders this season and have only had striking difficulties. The squad have Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud in their ranks, but still need a proven striker if they are to increase their chances of winning the League. Nolito will be a great addition if his services are finally secured.
