Arsenal have had their season tainted by so many injuries already and fans are already thinking this will be another season where injuries will destroy the Gunners chances again as fans have come to get used to.
Mikel Arteta was out for much of last season and had also been out for the major part of the new season but returned to action for Arsenal with a substitute appearance in their English Premier League encounter against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday. He was however pulled out again as he seemed to have taken a knock.
This is bad news for the Gunners as he goes back to join the growing injury list of Francis Coquelin, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey all missing from the squad.
This might end up costing the team so much at the end of the day as the team have started dropping from their lofty spot on the Premiership table. This season had been seen as the season when Arsenal would finally win the English Premier League and they were already doing so well, but with the team battling with injuries and the club manager not making any outfield signings in the summer transfer window, it might be difficult for the Arsenal team to hold it together and keep the title challenge alive.
It remains to be seen what this will cost the Gunners and how much it will especially with them lacking good defensive midfielders at the moment.
