With several clubs gearing for the intrigues of the on-coming January transfer market, Chelsea’s prime target of the winter Jonathan Calleri has hinted that he is willing and ready to move to Europe, this is according to report.
Following his impressive performance for Boca Juniors in the just concluded Argentina League, the 22-year-old won the heart of Atletico Madrid and Manchester City but Chelsea have emerged as favourite to sign the player.
The strikers of Chelsea have been misfiring this term and Mourinho is understood to be rooting for an attacker that will provide competition or viable option to Costa and it appears Calleri will be heading to Stamford Bridge.
The versatile forward has already made it known to his club that he is in the want of a move to Europe in furtherance of his career.
“At the moment I don’t know anything. I read the newspapers and they have many rumours, but to me they didn’t say anything. My mind is set on playing a friendly match this Friday and then get on vacations with my family.”
“Six months ago I wasn’t ready to move abroad. I believe that right now, after becoming Argentinian League champion, having played more matches and playing alongside Carlos Tévez I’m more prepared.”
The Blues are already preparing a €14 million for the player, per Calciomercato as they believe it will be enough to him to Stamford Bridge.
