Manchester City play host to Liverpool as the Reds travel down to Manchester City to take on the current table toppers. Klopp’s Reds look to bounce back to winning ways on Saturday evening following their loss to Crystal Palace last time out.
Klopp has received a boost this week with injury absentees closing in on returns, but the Reds XI is likely to retain a familiar look.
Klopp is most likely going to go with a 4-2-3-1 formation. Dejan Lovren is set to replace Sakho at Centre-back and Milner’s return to fitness is likely to see the ex-city man come into the side.
Milner could play alongside Lucas and Emre Can to form a tight midfield with Milner having more freedom to go forward.
Coutinho is a definite inclusion, and the in-form Brazilian should be joined Roberto Firmino, to play in support of Benteke, leaving Lallana, Ibe and Sturridge on the bench.
Those changes to side would see Liverpool lineup like this against Manchester city :
Klopp could decide to use the 4-2-3-1 with the same back four and Lucas and Emre Can forming the midfield duo.
Milner could then play a more attack minded role alongside Coutinho and Lallana in attacking Midfield and on the wings with Benteke being the lone man upfront.
The team would possibly lineup like this :
Liverpool starting lineup (4-2-3-1 formation): Mignolet; Clyne, Moreno, Skrtel, Sakho; Coutinho, Firmino ; Can, Lallana, Leiva; Benteke
The Reds face a tough challenge to respond instantly to a defeat at Crystal Palace against one of the league’s most in-form sides Manchester city, but with the Callibre of players Liverpool possess they may be able to pull off an upset.
