It is no secret that Manchester United want to sign Southampton forward, Sadio Mane and have never hidden the fact that the player is one of their top targets in this transfer window having failed to sign him in the summer transfer window. They may indeed get their man this time.
The red Devils will be aiming to exploit the seeming tension between Sadio Mane and Ronald Koeman and make a bid for the player they crave. The player was dropped from the starting line-up for the Saints’ game against Norwich at Carrow road after he arrived late for a team meeting which was not the first time that incident had occurred.
He eventually came on during the game which his team eventually lost to a lone goal which leaves Southampton 13th on the log in a season they have struggled to find any sort of consistency.
United see Mane as an upgrade with respect to the options they currently have on the wings which include, dutch international and former PSV Eindhoven star, Memphis Depay, Ashley Young and most recently Jesse Lingard, although Anthony Martial, Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata have been deployed on the wings at various times this season.
The fee being speculated is about £29.4m for the player who has 3 goals and 6 assists this season.
