A late equaliser by Martial provided Manchester United a chance to salvage something in Quarter final replay at Uptown Park. United would be happy in the end to take a draw at home against dangerous looking West Ham side. A game which either side could have won ended in a 1-1 draw with a quarter final replay to be played in next few weeks.
Manchester United looked desperate for a win as Louis Van Gaal men are eager to win FA cup and for that matter they had to win this crucial match against West ham. United started with an attacking instinct but it was Victor Moses for West Ham who had a real chance to open the scoring but De Gea made a great save. Both teams had their chances but didn’t take it well. It was Dimitry Payet again for “The Hammers” who scored a spectacular free-kick over the wall, of the post and into the back of the bet giving De Gea no chance for saving that.
Just as things were looking good for West Ham, Anthony Martial stepped forward to turn a wonderful cross by Herrera into the goal to bring United back into the tie. This goal not only made the score line equal but also earned a quarter final replay for United.
It would be another chance for United to win the Replay and to remain in FA cup race. Louis Van Gaal would be desperate to make his mark as United manager by winning FA cup.
