According to the resources, Manchester City wants to sign West Ham midfielder Dimitri Payet as their first in Pep Guardiola’s era. They are actually targeting Dimitri Payet to be in their league during this year’s summer squad fix.
Impressive performance by the 28-years-old Frenchman had put him on radar on not only City’s but on Chelsea and Arsenal wish list as well. He just moved to Upton Park last year in a deal of £10.7m from Marseille. He is currently making £65,000 as basic with an extra £10K for each start. Whereas, City is willing to spend up to £30 million on the Frenchman.
Chelsea is also interested in West Ham man, since Eden Hazard might leave for Real Madrid by the end of this season. But they are still weighing up their move. Initially, Arsenal was also impressed with Dimitri’s wild start to the Premier League but according to some reports; the Gunners are no more involved in him due to midfielder’s age and might not spent as much money as Manchester City and Chelsea are prepared to pay for him.
Therefore, the battle is between Manchester City and Chelsea as who snatches up the West Ham star player as their new signing.
