Champions League Spots Safe for English Clubs

Premier League Clubs have successfully regained the 4 Champions League spots for next season even after Arsenal got knocked out of the Champions League Round of 16 after Barcelona outclassed the Gunners 3-1 at home. But it was Italian Giants Juventus who helped English clubs regaining 4 spots for CL next season as they too got knocked out of the Tournament with the hands of Bayern Munich after a very entertaining match.

According to UEFA co-efficient table, Italian clubs could not surpass Premier League clubs after a disappointing performance by La Liga clubs in both of Europe’s top competition with Lazio being the only stand out club who is still in Europa league fighting for their survival.

English Clubs also could not perform well in the European stage this time but Manchester City is still in the Champions league quarters and Liverpool also qualified for the next round of Europa league after beating their rivals Manchester United. Tottenham also got kicked out by amazing Borussia Dortmund performance.

If La Liga clubs had performed better in this season’s European competitions, they could have stolen English clubs place for next season as they are currently 3.97 points behind in UEFA Co-efficient standings. This means Premier League’s top 4 can qualify for Champions League next season.
