Group H Analysis & Preview:
Our final kickaround preview of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa takes us to Group H, home of World No. 1 Spain, Switzerland, Honduras and Chile. The Spaniards finished 2009 as the No. 1 ranked football team in the world according to FIFA and as no surprise they are also the betting favorite to win the Cup.

Our DailyFootballBlog.com bloggers break down Spain’s chances to get out of their group.

Greg Neville: The world No.1 Spain are sitting pretty in this group, but what troubles them is their round of 16 opponent coming out of Group G. The key clash in this group will be Chile v Switzerland in Port Elizabeth. Spain and Chile advance.

Ron Patel: Ten wins in 10 qualifying games kept things going for Spain, and the Spaniards should go 3-for-3 in Group H. Chile owns danger man Humberto Suazo, good enough to advance ahead of a resilient Honduras and solid but unspectacular Switzerland.

Alex Michaels: This is the perfect group to dedicate time to the other halves come next June. Spain will easily progress without getting out of second gear, but I have no idea who will join them. The vociferous Chilean support might just give them the edge.

Peter Howard: Mucho suerta para Espana. The Spanish will roll through this group. I like Chile to join Spain, but cannot help but take advantage of this chance to relive the excitement that came to Honduras upon qualifying on a late US goal against Costa Rica.

I think alot of the critics are in for a big shock, the team everyone is already counting out and a easy win to have is Honduras. people need to remember that they have nothing to prove, as they have already been counted out before playing a single game in world cup 2010. They are going to suprise alot of people with their agressive and fast style of play.

  3. Felipe says:

Let’s be realistic Hondur-ass sucks. They’re going 0-3. Chile will be at the top followed by Spain.

  4. daniel says:
