Group F Analysis & Preview:
DailyFootballBlog.com’s 2010 World Cup group preview is drawing down. Today the bloggers take a crack at Group F, which features defending champion Italy, Paraguay, New Zealand and Slovakia.

Greg Neville: The defending World Cup champions will comfortably advance to the knockout stages. Going with them out of Group F is a coin toss – Paraguay, heads, Slovakia tails. Italy and Slovakia advance.

Ron Patel: Italy is struggling for goals and inspirational defender Fabio Cannavaro isn’t what he used to be, but Marcello Lippi probably lit up another cigar in celebration when he saw this group. Paraguay, which surprised in South American qualifying, will use its experience to finish second ahead of debutant Slovakia. No wins – or goals – for New Zealand.

Alex Michaels: Lippi will definitely be delighted with this group, which is virtually a bye for the Italians even if they have been struggling for goals. The All Whites of New Zealand may just be happy to be there, but I fancy Slovakia to come through with the defending champions to the second phase.

Peter Howard: If the French are the luckiest team in this field, Italy is a close second. An incredibly foolish move by Zidane helped them triumph in 2006, and this draw will over very little resistance in the beginning of the title defense. Paraguay pushes through from this Group as well.

Tomorrow we’ll look at the Group of Death, Group G.
