Group B Analysis & Preview:
The DailyFootballBlog.com continues its preview of the upcoming 2010 World Cup in South Africa. Today the bloggers look at Group B, home to Argentina, Nigeria, South Korea and Greece.
On the surface this group appears to be easy, but is it?
Greg Neville: The Maradona-led Argentina may have scraped into the finals but they will move on easily from their group stage. Nigeria will be boosted by playing on the African continent and will get ahead of the other two in a close battle. Argentina and Nigeria advance.
Ron Patel: By no means is this an easy section. But not even Diego Maradona can mess things up in the group stage, can he? Hopefully not. The more we see of the likes of Messi and Tevez, the better. Nigeria isn’t as strong as years past, despite possessing Obafemi Martins and Yakubu, so Greece finishes runner-up. The Greeks are well organized, and Theo Gekas provides the goals.
Alex Michaels: Just as with France, I’m even less convinced Argentina can turn things around so quickly – certainly not if Maradona’s still in charge. The qualifying campaign was almost disastrous, and this is a tough group to hope for miracles. The South Koreans could be too quick for Maradona’s veterans, while Nigeria and Greece won’t be intimidated. South Korea and Nigeria to go through for me.
Peter Howard: How big a distraction Diego Maradona proves to be may well dictate how far Argentina advances. South Korea and Greece have had recent successes — a 2002 World Cup semifinal and a 2004 European championship, respectively. However, Argentina and Nigeria will be putting the best sides on the field in this Group and should advance.
Check back tomorrow for a capsule on Group C.

First to last… Argentina, Greece, Nigeria, South Korea for me.
