Wayne Rooney

Short Bio

Wayne Rooney was born on October 24, 1985. He began playing football with Everton, the team he joined when he was ten years old. He rose through the ranks pretty quickly, making his professional debut in 2002. His first goal made him the youngest ever goal-scorer in Premier league history in that day, making him an entry into the record-books with his very first goal!

Just before the beginning of the 2004-05 season, he made a move to Manchester United for a large sum of money. He became a key player for the first team here, and has won premier league three times. He also won distinction in 2007-08 for helping to win the UEFA Champions League and the football cup. Wayne Rooney is the perfect example of how hard work and skill can pay off when you keep your eyes on the goal.
