Thierry Henry

Short Bio

Thierry Henry was born in Les Ulis, Essonne, which is a suburb of Paris. He was brought up in a tough neighborhood playing for local side teams as a youngster. He showed a lot of promise as a goal scorer, and in 1990 was spotted by AS Monaco and signed a contract instantly with the team. He finally made his professional debut in 1994, and was called up to the international level in 1998 for his good form. After that year, he signed a contract with Serie A defending champions, Juventus. A disappointing season saw him leave to join Arsenal for a large sum of money in 1999.

Struggling in the premier league at first, Thierry finally made his mark at Arsenal and became known as a world class football player. He was the top scorer there for a lot of seasons, and was almost the top scorer every season.
