Cristiano Ronaldo

Short Bio

Cristiano Ronaldo was born on February 5, 1985, at Funchal, Madeira, Portugal. He was the youngest child of Jose Dinis Aveiro and Maria Dolores dos Santos Aveiro. When he was just eight years old, Ronaldo played for Andorinha, which was an amateur team where his father was kit man. In the year of 1995, Christiano Ronaldo signed a contract with a local club, CD National. With CD National, he saw a title-winning campaign and then went to try out with Sporting CP. The trial took three days, and saw Cristiano Ronaldo signed as a result.

Ronaldo joined the other players who trained at Alcochete, which was the clubs academy. He played for U-16, U-17, U-18, the B-Team, and the first team here, all in one season! He was the first and only player to ever have done this before, earning him distinction right out of the gate with his new career.
